Save the Date – Magic 4 Mercy fundraiser

Posted October 14th, 2009 at 2:30 PM by Steve Cohen in Magic, Magic Show NY

I’m holding an important benefit event on Tuesday, December 8th at 7:00 p.m. –    Magic 4 Mercy.  Proceeds from the evening, generated by tax deductible ticket sales, will benefit Mercy Corps’ Action Center to End World Hunger, opened one year ago in Battery Park City.
The Action Center’s parent is Mercy Corps, an international humanitarian relief and development agency. Mercy Corps works amid disasters, conflicts, chronic poverty and instability to unleash the potential of people who can win against nearly impossible odds. Since 1979, Mercy Corps has provided $1.5 billion in assistance to people in 106 nations.

On December 8th, the Action Center will be transformed into my stage, and I will present a “Chamber Magic” show to help those people in need.

I hope you’ll join other distinguished guests and media personalities for an evening of fun and entertainment for the benefit of a good cause. A champagne reception from 7:00-8:00 p.m. will lead into a magical experience that is most often deemed “unforgettable”!  Ticket prices for the general public are $125 per ticket, or $200 for VIP seating [VIP seating is now SOLD OUT], and we anticipate that 100 people will attend our benefit evening.

As you can see, it’s for a great cause! http://www.actioncenter.org

The executive committee for “Mercy 4 Magic” is coming together. There are some very high-profile people who have graciously stepped forward to be a part of this charity event. I’ll post the executive committee list here soon for you. More to come…
